Silver Needle (Bai Hao Yin Zhen Tea) is often regarded as one of the world’s best white teas.  It is naturally low in caffeine with a sweet and mellow flavour with light notes reminiscent of melon or cucumber on the palette.

The tea is grown in Fuding, and is harvested mid March to early April, when the weather is dry ensuring that the buds are pristine and unopened. Because Silver Needle is virtually unprocessed it pays to take little extra care in the brewing, giving the leaves a little extra time to absorb water on the first infusion.

Meausure 3g per cup (150-200ml) add ⅔ of the water and steep for 2 mins, then add the rest of the water and brew for another 1- 2 minutes.

Brew subsequent infusions for around 2-3 mins. Can be brewed 3-5 times.

So fragrant!

If you're a fan of fragrant teas, look no further! The smell of this tea blew me away as soon as I opened the packet. It's light and fresh on the first infusion, and a little earthier on the second, but absolutely delicious both times.
