This Exceptional hand produced Assam is grown near Joypur in Upper Assam. It has a rich full and malty character with great body and a natural underlying sweetness.The leaves are carefully harvested by hand, and rolled into long bar shapes before drying to produce this wonderful tea.
Measure 1 level tablespoon (3-4g) per cup (250ml) and brew in freshly boiled water for 3 minutes or to taste.
Can be infused twice.
As a fairly recent convert to the malty goodness of a nice assam, this one ticks all the tastebuds boxes for me. It might look like the sea **** you get on the side of a Cantonese banquet but this full bodied example is everything you could want from an assam; strong and flavoursome on its own, but more than happy to go toe-to-toe with a splash of milk. Highly recommended.
