This is a vintage Japanese tea bowl made by Yoshiki Sugiura (1915-1982). The production method of the bowl is known as Seto ware, and is produced in the village of Seto, Aichi Prefecture Japan.
Yoshiki was accepted as an exhibitor at the Japan Fine Arts Exhibition (Nitten Exhibition), and was an apprentice of the famous potter and artist Rosanjin
The bowl depicts a wood and rope bridge, and measures approximately Dia. 10.7 cm x Height 8.5 cm, artists signature to base. Complete with original signed wooden box.
